West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude oil moved modestly in reverse instructions Tuesday.
The January WTI contract gained 14 cents Tuesday, settling at $56.10 per barrel. The sunshine crude marker traded inside a spread from $55.35 to $56.80.
February Brent, in the meantime, shed 10 cents to finish the day at $60.82 per barrel.
“Oil continues to carry within the $55 to $60 WTI buying and selling vary that we’ve seen over the past six months, although with a slight – 0.25-percent – decline yesterday,” mentioned Vance Scott, Houston-based managing director within the vitality observe on the multi-industry consulting agency AlixPartners LLP.
